This really has to be the Ultimate money-saving challenge that I have ever come across. All credit has to go to Live Below the Line – The Challenge website.
From 7th – 11th May, they are inviting to join them to try living on £1 a day for 5 days in an effort to change the way we in the UK think about extreme poverty – and also to make a huge difference in general.
Live Below the Line wants to challenge individuals and communities to try and live on just £1 per day on food for 5 days. By doing this they want to bring to life the direct experiences of about 1.4 billion people who are currently living in extreme poverty and at the same time to make a real change for the better.
Try to spend 5 days feeding yourself for just £1 a day – this is the UK’s equivalent of the extreme poverty line.
To give you a glimpse into the lives of 1.4 billion people who have no choice but to live below the line every day – and who have to make £1 cover a lot more than just food…
Not only is this a great cause, but just think of the money that you could save by taking up this challenge? So why not take up the challenge and see just how much money you have saved, you could also donate some of that saved money to the cause?
